Training Contract 2025 CA Programme – Johannesburg

About the role

EY is offering a three‑year Training Contract for the 2025 Chartered Accountant (CA) programme in Johannesburg. The role is based in the Audit Division and is intended for candidates who have completed their Honours/CTA/GDA and wish to serve their articles while preparing for the Qualifying Board Exams.

Key responsibilities

• Serve articles in the Audit Division, gaining practical experience across audit engagements.
• Prepare for and sit two Qualifying Board Exams – the first in March of the first year and the second in November of the second year.
• Complete 3 600 core training hours over the three‑year contract, aligning career development with EY’s professional pathways.

Required profile

• Must be following the CA stream and have completed secondary education (Matric).
• Provide an ID copy, Matric certificate, academic record to date and a current CV with the application.
• No prior work experience is required.

• Ability to work with figures and perform quantitative analysis.
• Strong administration, organisation and communication skills.
• Initiative, ability to work proactively both independently and within a team.
