Training Consultant – Life Insurance (Sandton)

About the role

We are looking for a Training Consultant to design, deliver and evaluate learning programmes for Discovery Life products in our Sandton office. The role focuses on developing training content, conducting inductions and supporting sales, underwriting and claims teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct bi‑annual needs analyses and collaborate with subject‑matter experts to design learning programmes for new products and systems.
• Create and update engaging learning material, including generic, compliance, systems and product content, using Articulate 360.
• Deliver business unit inductions, periodic learning sessions and coaching to improve employee performance.
• Evaluate training effectiveness, capture learning statistics and report to compliance.
• Develop written and online assessments, allocate badges and maintain training registers in Aspire.

Required profile

• Matric qualification with a minimum of 4 years’ experience working with Discovery Life products.
• Relevant certifications such as Train‑the‑Trainer or ETDP Diploma are advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Articulate 360 for e‑learning development.
• Microsoft PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of Paradigm and SAM authoring tools.
• E‑learning software development and instructional design.
