Trainee Data Consultant – SAP Data Services (Johannesburg)

About the role

The Trainee Data Consultant will develop technical and functional skills in data migration and consulting, focusing on SAP Data Services, SAP Migration Cockpit and other ETL solutions during a three‑month training period before being placed on a project.

Key responsibilities

• Participates in discussions and workshops.
• Develops documentation as requested.
• Executes test scripts and assists with testing, applying critical thinking.
• Creates load files, validates data, and performs ETL tasks.
• Prepares data files, loads data and configures solution components.
• Interprets functional specifications and documents requirements.
• Communicates effectively with customers and project teams.
• Analyzes business data, identifies data quality issues and suggests improvements.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience working with SQL.
• Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self‑starter, motivated and team‑player.

What we offer

• Monthly salary between R20,000 and R22,000, dependent on experience.
