Trails Guide & Lodge Manager – Zululand Safari Lodge

About the role

Join a well‑established boutique safari lodge in Zululand, KwaZulu‑Natal, as a Trails Guide and Lodge Manager. The position can be filled by a couple (one guide, one manager) or by two individual candidates, each covering one of the two key functions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily lodge operations, including guest relations, reservations, administration, housekeeping, and food & beverage services.
• Lead and motivate staff, manage stock control and reporting, and ensure high standards of service.
• Guide guests on wildlife trails, perform routine maintenance, and handle mechanical tasks.
• Maintain conservation standards and promote responsible wildlife experiences.

Required profile

• Valid trails‑guide qualifications and permits, with prior safari lodge experience.
• Strong mechanical and maintenance abilities, excellent guest interaction, and a passion for conservation.
• Proven lodge‑management experience, strong guest‑relations skills, and ability to manage reservations, housekeeping, and F&B independently.
