TMM Supervisor – Trackless Mobile Machinery

About the role

The TMM Supervisor will lead a team of mechanics and technicians responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of trackless mobile machinery used in both surface and underground mining operations at the Venetia mine. The role ensures compliance with safety standards, manages workshop processes and supports continuous improvement of equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanics and technicians in the maintenance, fault‑finding and repair of trackless mining equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, mining regulations and permit requirements.
• Develop and implement workshop reporting, inventory control and preventative maintenance plans.
• Manage work orders, permits and third‑party maintenance contracts.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and produce detailed reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in maintenance and fault‑finding of trackless mining equipment.
• At least 5 years of workshop supervision experience.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and a Trade Certificate (Section 13 or Section 26(d)).
• Pass a mine DOVER test and hold a valid underground medical examination and HTS result.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Required skills

• Experience with FERMEL, Magni and Manitou telehandlers.
• Knowledge of CAT Skidsteers and BOOYCO systems.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and trackless mobile machinery.
• Workshop administration and inventory management.
