About the role
We’re seeking a Theatre Qualified – Cath Lab Scrub Nurse to join a leading private hospital in the East Rand. Step into a specialized theatre environment where precision, patient safety, and teamwork are at the heart of every procedure.
Key responsibilities
- Scrub and assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
- Prepare and maintain Cath Lab equipment and instruments for angiograms, stent placements, and other interventions.
- Ensure strict adherence to aseptic and infection‑control protocols.
- Anticipate surgical needs and manage the sterile field efficiently.
- Collaborate with anaesthetic and recovery teams for seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate procedure documentation and instrument counts.
- Support Cath Lab efficiency through proactive communication and teamwork.
Required profile
- Degree in Operating Theatre Nursing or related.
- Degree in General Nursing.
- 3–5+ years’ Cath Lab scrubbing experience.
- SANC Registered.
