Temporary Accountant – R35k per month (Pinelands, CPT)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Temp Accountant to manage a broad range of accounting and financial processing responsibilities. The successful candidate must have strong full‑function accounting experience, excellent reconciliation skills and the ability to work accurately and independently.

Key responsibilities

• Full‑function accounting and financial administration, including cashbooks and loan accounts.
• Management and processing of cashbooks, credit‑card and sales‑representative expense reconciliations.
• Preparation and reconciliation of balance‑sheet accounts and VAT returns.
• Processing of payroll journals and sundry transactions.
• General ledger reconciliations, month‑end accounting processes and reporting.
• Resolving reconciliation discrepancies and finance‑related queries.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience with full‑function exposure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software/systems.
