Telesales Clerk – Gauteng

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Telesales Clerk to join our Gauteng team. You will support the sales function by generating quotations, signing up customers, handling administration, and driving new business through cold‑calling and lead generation.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document customer information, payment methods, and purchase details.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge and inform customers of new offerings.
• Answer product‑related questions and meet sales quotas.
• Develop and use a sales script to engage prospects.
• Build rapport, identify needs, present benefits, handle objections and close sales.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
• Seek referrals and repeat business.
• Perform cold‑calling and manage the sales process from lead to closure.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or NQF Level 4 qualification.
• 1–3 years experience in telesales, call centre or a similar environment.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Problem‑solving and analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.
