Telesales and Sales Administrator

About the role

Our client, a leading supplier of meat and food products to the catering and hospitality industries in Olifantsfontein, near Midrand in Johannesburg, is looking for a Sales Administrator & Telesales person. The role focuses on growing sales and maximising turnover with existing and new customers.

Key responsibilities

• Contact existing and potential customers to generate sales and achieve targets.
• Accurately take, process and follow through customer orders.
• Answer product and company queries and close sales by understanding customer needs.
• Enter and update customer information in the database.
• Coordinate with production and dispatch teams to fulfil customer requests.
• Maintain call records and note useful information.
• Participate in weekly sales meetings and collaborate with the sales team to resolve issues.
• Perform general administrative tasks as directed by the Sales Team Leader.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Minimum two years experience in sales administration and telesales within FMCG or food industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.

What we offer

• R13 000 per month CTC.
• Commission on sales.
