Telemarketing Agent – Outbound Sales

About the role

homechoice, a leading South African homeware retailer, is seeking energetic sales professionals for a high‑volume outbound telemarketing position. The role is based in the Western Cape and focuses on driving sales through a fast‑paced contact centre environment.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales targets in a high‑volume outbound dialler environment.
• Present, promote and sell homechoice products to qualified prospects, handling objections and closing deals.
• Maintain high productivity, adherence, turnaround time and quality standards.
• Capture and update customer information in real time, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Take ownership of personal performance and sustain momentum under pressure.
• Represent the homechoice brand professionally while delivering a results‑focused customer experience.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• 2–3 years proven outbound sales/telemarketing experience in a contact centre (preferred).
• Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong objection‑handling and closing abilities.
• Understanding of dialler systems and high‑volume outbound calling.
• Excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette.
• Fluent in English and preferably two additional South African languages.
• Clear criminal and ITC record; not debarred under the FAIS Act.

Required skills

• Dialler systems operation.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Email, Internet).
