Telemarketer – Outbound Sales (Johannesburg)

About the role

The Telemarketer will promote and sell Scorpions Legal and Funeral products to prospective members via outbound calls. Working from our Johannesburg office, you will use company‑provided systems, scripts and leads to generate new business and meet sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve individual weekly and monthly sales targets while contributing to team objectives.
• Contact and engage prospects using supplied leads, following approved sales scripts.
• Explain product features, benefits, exclusions and coverage clearly to customers.
• Accurately capture member information and policy details during each call.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and POPIA.
• Complete required reports and administrative tasks within deadlines.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.

Required profile

• Strong verbal communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday (08:00‑16:30 or 13:00‑21:00) and alternate Saturdays (09:00‑12:30).
• Goal‑oriented with a proven ability to meet sales targets.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accurate record‑keeping.
• Willingness to adhere to scripts, compliance standards and data‑protection legislation.
