Telecommunications Sales Agent (Cape Town)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established telecommunications provider, is expanding its Cape Town sales team. As a Telecommunications Sales Agent you will engage both prospective and existing customers, promote a range of telecom products and services, and help match solutions to customer needs in a fast‑paced contact‑centre environment.

Key responsibilities

• Sell telecommunications products and services over the phone.
• Achieve and exceed defined sales targets and KPIs.
• Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
• Handle objections confidently and close sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer records and update CRM systems.
• Follow up on leads and nurture sales pipelines.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales journey.
• Stay up‑to‑date with product offerings, promotions and industry trends.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• 1–2 years of contact‑centre telesales experience, specifically in telecommunications.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong negotiation and objection‑handling abilities.
• Excellent verbal communication and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Resilient, self‑motivated and able to perform under pressure.

Required skills

• CRM system proficiency.

• Competitive base salary ranging from R12,500 to R16,500 per month.
