Technology/Domain Specialist II

About the role

Psybergate is seeking a Technology/Domain Specialist II to support a financial services client in Sandton. The role spans 12 months and focuses on the evolution, health, and strategic direction of multiple technology or domain assets.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the strategic direction of technology or domain assets.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code and technology reviews, and enforce engineering standards.
• Define and implement architecture patterns, branching/merging practices, and integration standards.
• Advise engineering leads, architects, and senior stakeholders on road‑maps and risk mitigation.
• Research emerging technologies and contribute to technology communities.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and operational efficiency of solutions.
• Mentor teams, facilitate knowledge‑sharing, and support Agile delivery.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or related discipline (preferred).
• Relevant certifications in a technology or domain specialization (advantageous).
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a relevant specialist role.
• Proven experience influencing technology strategy and delivering enterprise‑grade solutions.
