Technician I Electrical

About the role

The Electrical Technician I will support the Secunda Operations by testing, modifying and maintaining electrical machinery, control equipment and circuitry across operational clusters and laboratories. This position ensures equipment reliability while adhering to safety, quality and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and control equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical circuitry to keep plant assets in optimal condition.
• Follow the Management of Change (MOC) procedure for all modifications.
• Support asset‑management philosophy and coordinate maintenance strategies.
• Assist with Risk Based Inspection (RBI) studies and contribute to reliability improvement initiatives.
• Control resources efficiently, monitor costs and ensure work is completed on schedule.
• Apply safety practices in all planning and execution activities.
• Document work, review compliance and resolve technical obstacles promptly.
