Technical Valve Sales Specialist (KwaZulu-Natal)

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Valve Sales Specialist to join a leading national team delivering world‑class instrumentation and valve solutions across KwaZulu‑Natal’s key industrial sectors. The role offers a competitive basic salary of R35,000‑R40,000, a 13th cheque, commission, car allowance, and full tools of trade.

Key responsibilities

• Drive technical sales by delivering high‑impact client demonstrations and engineering presentations.
• Engineer solutions: evaluate client applications, solve complex flow challenges, and optimise total cost of ownership.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to ongoing technical account support.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with major pulp, paper, and chemical plants in KZN.

Required profile

• 5+ years in technical sales of manual/control valves or flow equipment, servicing pulp, paper, and chemical plants (e.g., Mondi, Sappi, AECI).
• Matric with a mechanical/instrumentation apprenticeship or equivalent; N6/N Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Must reside in Greater Durban and hold a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of valve automation, process control, and fluid mechanics.
• Proficient in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
