Technical Trainer

About the role

Network Contracting Solutions seeks an experienced Technical Trainer to raise the technical competence of its production and maintenance teams. You will design, deliver, and continuously improve training programmes that support operational performance and employee development.

Key responsibilities

• Identify training needs through skills assessments and management consultations.
• Develop, update, and deliver technical training programmes and materials.
• Facilitate onboarding and technical training for new hires.
• Conduct skills audits, maintain employee skills matrices, and update SOPs and work instructions.
• Ensure statutory and compliance training requirements are met and keep accurate training records.
• Collaborate with HR to enhance training programmes and maintain compliance.
• Manage the apprentice development programme and support long‑term artisan succession planning.
• Coach and mentor employees, identify performance gaps, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
• Certified Red Seal Electrician Trade Test.
• Previous experience at Foreman level or higher.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment maintenance.
• Understanding of Quality Management Systems and Continuous Improvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
