Technical Project Manager

About the role

The Technical Project Manager will lead the delivery of technology and electronic security projects for the Glencore Mine Technical Division in Rustenburg. You will coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure projects meet scope, schedule and budget requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third‑party vendors for efficient project execution.
• Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Manage resource availability and allocation.
• Develop detailed project plans and track progress.
• Report status and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Provide regular feedback to operations or branch managers.
• Maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with client‑company agreements.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• PSIRA registration.
• Tertiary qualification or diploma in engineering (advantageous).
• Proven experience as a project manager in the technology/electronic security sector.
• Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Driver’s licence, own vehicle and a clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record.
• Employment consideration in line with the Employment Equity Act.

• Cathexis systems expertise.
• Access control systems understanding.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
