Technical Product Owner: CRM Platforms

About the role

The Technical Product Owner will lead the design, development and implementation of CRM platform solutions for the Road Accident Fund, ensuring alignment with organisational standards and latest technology trends.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full software development lifecycle for new applications and enhancements, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Coordinate feasibility studies for prospective software purchases and advise on findings.
• Ensure all integrations meet functional, compliance and interface specifications.
• Develop and certify backup, disaster recovery procedures and plans.
• Define, plan and manage technology release cycles and licensing compliance.
• Contribute to departmental policy, standards and procedures development.
• Prepare regulatory and progress reports for senior management.
• Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders and maintain strong relationships.
• Lead, develop and retain a high‑performance team, handling performance and conflict management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (post‑graduate qualification is an advantage).
• 6–8 years of IT/software development experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex application projects and manage cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Visual Basic, Java, C#.
• Frameworks: MVC.NET Core.
• Cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Containerisation and micro‑services: Kubernetes, Docker.
• Database design and administration.
• Application lifecycle management (SDLC) and testing.
• Technical writing and troubleshooting.
