Technical Account Manager (South Africa Region)

About the role

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) drives post‑sales activities for channel customers across the South Africa region. You will work closely with strategic partners, distributors and enterprise end‑customers to ensure successful adoption, renewal and growth of our technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and pursue upsell and cross‑sell opportunities, collaborating with partners to create value‑driven proposals.
• Own renewal strategy, coordinating with customers and channel partners to secure contract extensions and expansions.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date opportunity pipeline in the CRM, providing visibility on forecasts, procurement events, tenders and RFPs.
• Support customer procurement processes with technical input for RFPs/RFQs, Bill of Materials validation and license mapping.
• Build and nurture strategic relationships at all levels, acting as the primary trusted advisor for customers and partner technical teams.
• Conduct platform health checks, business reviews and enablement sessions to maximise adoption and utilisation.
• Track product utilisation and report on measurable value delivery against customer business outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical audiences.
• Ability to navigate complex procurement, commercial and renewal cycles.
• Experience working with channel partners, distributors and enterprise customers.
• Proactive, customer‑focused mindset with a track record of driving revenue growth.
