Team Manager: Digital Support Hub

About the role

The Operations Business Support department is seeking a Team Manager for the Digital Support Hub, based at Hill on Empire. You will lead a Digital Consultant Support team, providing technical expertise, mentoring, and driving the adoption of Santam’s digital solutions for broker partners.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct coaching sessions and roadshows to promote Santam digital assets.
• Monitor team output quality, offering leadership and guidance to foster learning and decision‑making.
• Manage workflow and ensure delivery of the Santam Experience in line with SOPs and SLAs.
• Continuously improve systems and processes, responding to stakeholder feedback and environmental changes.
• Plan and organise day‑to‑day operations, ad‑hoc tasks, and team outputs.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and intermediaries on Santam platforms.
• Address staff issues, optimise resources, and develop technical expertise to meet KRAs.
• Investigate BAU incidents, drive solutions, and manage change impact after technical releases.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the short‑term insurance industry.
• Proven experience managing a team.
• Working knowledge of Santam systems, preferably the Broker Portal and SBS.
• Grade 12 (Matric) with an acceptable pass and a relevant bachelor’s degree in Insurance or equivalent.
• FAIS compliance and a valid driver’s licence.
• Strong communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to perform under pressure and embody Santam values.
