Team Leader - Outbound Telesales

About the role

WNS Global Services is looking for a Team Leader for its outbound telesales team in Century City, Cape Town. The role leads and directs the team that contacts customers by telephone to make sales transactions and support field sales, aiming for strong sales results, good client patronage and excellent call quality and sales delivery. Administrative duties are included, and rotating shifts cover a Monday to Sunday week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the telesales team so that KPI targets and plans are met
• Create a positive learning environment that develops Lead Associates, Senior Associates and Associates
• Act as a role model and help the team deliver first-class customer service
• Manage team members and encourage them to make sales
• Keep everyone informed on work progress and build good relationships with team members
• Coach team members on how to carry out their duties effectively
• Understand the link between team engagement and lower attrition and absenteeism

Required profile

• At least 12 months of sales team leader experience (essential)
• Proven previous leadership and supervisory experience (essential)
• Matric or equivalent qualification
