Team Leader – Deceased Estate Conveyancer & Notary Public

About the role

Our corporate client, a specialist in deceased‑estate transfers, is seeking an experienced Conveyancer with team‑leadership capabilities. Based in Umhlanga, Durban, the role oversees the end‑to‑end transfer of immovable property from deceased estates to third parties, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the conveyancing team, including workload distribution and performance monitoring.
• Oversee the full conveyancing process: request documentation, prepare deeds, obtain clearance certificates, and coordinate with the Deeds Office.
• Handle all financial aspects of transactions, ensuring timely payment of sale proceeds to sellers.
• Maintain and develop relationships with clients, estate practitioners, fiduciary and insurance corporates.
• Produce accurate reports, forecasts, and ensure compliance with company policies and confidentiality requirements.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Admitted Attorney and Admitted Conveyancer with a minimum of 3 years post‑admission experience.
• Admitted Notary (beneficial) and experience in estate administration.
• Proven experience managing teams or departments (beneficial).
