Teacher – Intersen Phase Social Sciences

About the role

ADvTECH is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher for the Intersen Phase Social Sciences curriculum. You will help students build solid foundational knowledge, develop abstract thinking, and complete independent work across a range of subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver future‑focused academic instruction that motivates and challenges learners.
• Prepare and submit academic assessments and reports.
• Manage student behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
• Act as a brand ambassador for the school, upholding its values and reputation.
• Handle administrative duties and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) plus PGCE or B.Ed (Intermediate, Intersen or Senior Phase).
• SACE certification and a valid police clearance.
• 2‑5 years of teaching experience.
• Computer and digital literacy, plus First Aid certification.
• Demonstrated lifelong learning, strong planning, organization, and critical‑thinking abilities.
