Tax Practitioner – Cape Town CBD

About the role

Our client, a well‑established accounting and tax practice located in Cape Town CBD, is seeking an experienced Tax Practitioner to join their close‑knit team. The role involves providing tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of individuals, trusts and small‑to‑medium businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax computations for individuals, companies and trusts.
• Manage a portfolio of tax clients, ensuring timely submissions to SARS.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and assist with complex tax matters.
• Liaise directly with SARS, handling eFiling and queries.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Income Tax, Provisional Tax, VAT, PAYE and Dividend Tax.

Required profile

• Relevant tax or accounting qualification.
• Registered Tax Practitioner (SAIT or SAIPA preferred).
• 6‑7+ years of practical tax experience within an accounting practice.
• Professional, organised and client‑focused with the ability to work independently.
• Fluency in English; Afrikaans communication is a strong advantage.
