Tax Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Tax Consultant to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will provide expert tax advice, manage client tax filings, and liaise with SARS on behalf of our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit ITR14, ITR12, IT12EL, IRP6, ITSD, Dividends Tax, PAYE, EMP501, IRP5, and IT3A returns.
• Conduct VAT and income tax audits, handle objections, and review assessments for accuracy.
• Respond to SARS queries, correspond with SARS and clients, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Manage a portfolio of assigned clients, meeting deadlines and performance targets.
• Utilise tax software tools such as Taxware, E‑filing, and Easyfile to streamline processes.

Required profile

• BCom degree with a focus on tax or an Advanced Tax degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in tax preparation and compliance.
• Strong attention to detail, deadline‑driven, and ability to identify and correct assessment errors.
