About the role

A leading investment group, Oasis Group Holdings, is seeking a senior Tax Commercial Lawyer to join its in‑house legal team. The role focuses on complex tax, commercial, and structuring matters across the group’s investment and fiduciary activities, offering exposure to high‑value legal work in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑house legal advice on tax and commercial structuring matters.
• Advise on trusts, estates, fiduciary structures, and private‑client arrangements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
• Support the structuring of investment‑related legal arrangements within the group.
• Offer legal guidance on regulatory and tax considerations impacting business activities.
• Partner with senior internal stakeholders on strategic legal matters.
• Contribute to governance, risk management, and legal frameworks.

Required profile

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• 8–12 years post‑articles experience, preferably from a top‑tier commercial law firm.
• Strong background in tax and commercial law, with significant experience in trusts, estates, or private‑client structuring.
• Ability to operate confidently in a senior in‑house legal environment.
