Systems Engineer

About the role

Atlas Technica is looking for a Systems Engineer to deliver remote IT support for multiple financial‑sector clients. The role is fully remote, based in Johannesburg, and offers fast technical growth within a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote IT support through a shared inbound call queue, assisting users across various clients.
• Work across multiple technologies, developing a well‑rounded skill set.
• Use a ticketing system to manage support queries.
• Maintain documentation and follow organizational rules and guidelines.
• Adhere to strict change‑control procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of IT experience in desktop support, systems engineering or systems administration.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience supporting the Microsoft 365 stack (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Azure AD).
• Knowledge of Windows Server platforms, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Familiarity with Citrix XenApp and endpoint security solutions such as Sophos.
• Basic understanding of virtualization (VMware or Hyper‑V) and networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/DMZ/WAN, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls).
