Systems Administrator I

About the role

The Systems Administrator I will ensure the stability and availability of Nedbank's Enterprise Systems Management tools. The role involves providing first‑line support, occasional second‑line troubleshooting, and contributing to continuous improvement of processes and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and configure system software to meet standards and ensure accurate data.
• Provide 1st‑level and occasional 2nd‑level support, handling customer requests and troubleshooting incidents.
• Monitor system activity trends and work with senior colleagues to implement improvements.
• Support corporate culture initiatives, CSR activities, and knowledge‑sharing within the team.
• Manage expense budgets, including overtime, attendance, leave, claims, and telephony/data‑card usage.
• Stay updated on relevant legislation and industry changes.
