Systems Administrator – Cloud & Security Focus

About the role

The Financial Intelligence Centre is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain its server infrastructure and cloud services. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, security, and performance across on‑premise and Microsoft cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain server infrastructure, applications and cloud platforms such as Office 365, Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Design, build and deploy Microsoft cloud security solutions, manage identity, access and threat protection.
• Provide second‑ and third‑line technical support and troubleshoot system issues.
• Perform application deployments, service upgrades, patch management and system performance tuning.
• Monitor service availability, conduct performance analysis and support business continuity and disaster‑recovery environments.
• Create clear documentation and adhere to ICT governance policies.

Required profile

• ICT qualification – NQF Level 5 Certificate or Diploma.
• At least 3 years experience in system administration, Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Minimum 1 year experience managing cloud services (Microsoft 365/Azure).
• 3 years experience with VMware and enterprise storage solutions.
• Relevant Microsoft Certified Associate credentials (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Security Engineer Associate, Teams Administrator Associate).
