Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Support Engineer to join our client’s team in Somerset West, Cape Town. You will manage support enquiries, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and contribute to improving internal processes. The role focuses on user device management and the internal support desk.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely and effective resolution of support tickets in line with service expectations.
• Communicate with clients professionally and concisely.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues using sound troubleshooting techniques.
• Handle increasingly advanced support scenarios as experience grows.
• Ensure smooth handovers and appropriate escalation of complex issues.
• Contribute to the improvement of team processes, documentation, and best practices.
• Support a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge and maintaining consistent standards.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of experience in a similar support role.
• Matric qualification.
• Enjoys analytical problem‑solving and working in a structured environment.
• Communicates confidently and professionally with colleagues and clients.
• Shows ownership, dependability, and a commitment to high‑quality results.
• Motivated to expand technical knowledge and develop a career in technology.
