Supply Intern

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Supply Intern to join Sandvik’s Rock Processing team in Kempton Park. The internship offers hands‑on experience in supply chain management within a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess demand and supply data across various platforms.
• Interpret big data and prepare presentations for discussions.
• Build and report daily, weekly and monthly supply statistics.
• Analyze existing workflow processes and performance information.
• Develop best‑practice workflows, audit them and prepare for rollout.
• Participate in the EMEA Planning project and contribute to deliverables.
• Create simulations and scenarios to improve availability and lead‑times.
• Produce rapid improvement plans for immediate and long‑term impact.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and structure datasets for cross‑team access.
• Analyse order intake and supply data to identify delivery discrepancies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on order handling and delivery status.
• Develop and publish performance tracking data across the division.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) and a completed 3‑4 year bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Business Administration or related fields advantageous).
• South African citizenship.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
