Supply Chain Manager – Mining & Mineral Processing

About the role

The role is based in Johannesburg and leads the end‑to‑end supply chain for a growing mining and mineral processing organisation. It combines procurement, logistics, warehousing and inventory management to keep operations running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities, supplier selection, tender processes and contract negotiations.
• Oversee logistics, warehousing, inventory control and product distribution.
• Manage CAPEX and OPEX procurement requirements.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and improve supply chain efficiency.
• Strengthen supplier performance and stakeholder relationships.
• Identify and mitigate operational, commercial and supply chain risks.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and governance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or related field.
• 8‑10 years of supply chain experience in mining, mineral processing or heavy industry.
• Proven experience in CAPEX/OPEX procurement, logistics and contract management.
• Strong commercial, financial, negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
