Supply Chain Manager

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will lead procurement and purchasing activities for renewable energy projects across South Africa and other regions. This role combines project‑focused purchasing with strategic sourcing to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project purchasing, securing quality goods and services on optimal terms and monitoring contract compliance.
• Identify and engage suppliers, negotiate contracts, and handle variations, change orders, and claim management.
• Maintain project cost‑reporting systems in collaboration with project and construction teams.
• Support logistics for delivery of goods when required.
• Conduct market analysis, monitor pricing trends, and develop supplier qualification processes.
• Create and maintain framework agreements and a historical price database.
• Build long‑term relationships with local suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate their performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of international procurement and supply chain experience in the renewables sector.
• Strong knowledge of contract preparation, invoicing, and negotiation.
• Proven experience within the renewable energy industry.
