Supply Chain Internship – Cape Town

About the role

This paid internship supports the Warehouse and Customer Service Department of a leading medical equipment supplier in Cape Town. You will gain hands‑on experience in outbound and inbound logistics, stock control and on‑call duties while working closely with hospital staff and sales teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, pack and dispatch medical loan sets and stock to branches and hospitals.
• Check instruments for functionality and prepare accompanying documentation.
• Requisition loan sets, track flight details and record customer bookings.
• Accurately record usage of loan sets, report missing or broken items, and follow up with relevant parties.
• Assist with weekly stock counts, branch requests, expiry management, write‑offs and stock rotation.
• Perform on‑call and shift duties such as collection, receipting and delivery of stock.
• Participate in quarterly stock takes and provide general support to the Customer Service Department.

Required profile

• Graduate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or BCom with a Supply Chain/Logistics module).
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence with a reliable personal vehicle.
• Willingness to work after‑hours, night shifts, on‑call and stock‑take duties.
• Residence near Plattekloof 3, Cape Town.
• Previous work experience (1 + year) is an advantage.
