Supply Chain Coordinator

About the role

Our client, based in the east of Johannesburg, is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to manage import operations, inland distribution, procurement and customs functions across their logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Manage communication with suppliers for foreign orders and coordinate with forwarding agents for shipment, customs clearance, delivery and warehousing.
• Ensure compliance with Incoterms (FOB, DDP, CIF, EXW, CIP) and maintain accurate shipping documentation, packing records and tariff code classification.
• Oversee sea‑freight and road‑freight activities and maintain relationships with third‑party warehousing providers.
• Monitor stock levels, source local materials, support buyers with indent orders and handle procurement for the Cut‑to‑Size department.
• Maintain ITAC permits for duty rebate programmes, ensure customs and import regulatory compliance.
• Prepare quotations for non‑project and replacement maintenance orders and coordinate shipments from Belgium to final delivery, including inland transportation.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics or procurement.
• Proven ability to manage import and distribution processes in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Incoterms (FOB, DDP, CIF, EXW, CIP).
• Customs regulations and ITAC permit management.
• Shipping documentation and tariff code classification.
• Sea‑freight and road‑freight coordination.
