Supply Chain Analyst

About the role

The Supply Chain Analyst will act as a strategic business partner for the James Sedgwick Whisky Distillery, Van Ryn Distillery and associated joint‑ventures. The role focuses on generating, collating and safeguarding financial data, analysing performance and risks, and enabling fact‑based decision‑making across production and cost management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and advice to site and JV production teams, supporting strategic, annual and latest estimate planning cycles.
• Prepare and critically analyse monthly results, delivering management reports with commentaries, KPIs, graphs and benchmark insights.
• Monitor business unit performance against standards such as OEE, O/T, costing and SAP routing, recommending improvements.
• Analyse production order variances, issue early warnings, advise corrective actions and ensure accurate Bill of Materials.
• Maintain reliability and integrity of accounting records, P&L and balance sheet through regular controls and short‑term interval checks.
• Identify financial control risks, propose and implement solutions, and perform monthly audits.
• Support adherence to financial, IT and material control policies, excise regulations and capital expenditure processes.
• Participate in stock management, stock takes, cross‑site audits and develop financial competencies within the business unit.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in finance or supply‑chain environments.
• Good understanding of production operations and cost management in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production, accounting and senior management teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity.
