Supervisor – Imports & Exports

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to lead our imports and exports operations. The role involves coordinating end‑to‑end shipment processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing cost‑effective movement of goods across international borders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the full import process from receipt of shipping documents to final delivery.
• Manage sea freight and road freight shipments, guaranteeing timely and cost‑effective execution.
• Handle import documentation, track shipments, and communicate with suppliers, agents, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and internal procedures.
• Arrange permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals as needed.
• Oversee export shipments from initiation to delivery.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain accurate import and export documentation.
• Monitor shipment progress, resolve operational challenges, and address delays.
• Verify and process freight‑related invoices and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate records for audit and compliance purposes.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in import/export logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance or trade compliance.
• Experience managing international sea and road freight movements.
• Background in FMCG, perishables, manufacturing or regulated goods is advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of import and export regulations and customs procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using ERP systems for logistics management.
