About the role
The Superintendent (Reticulation) leads the water and sanitation division, overseeing technical and administrative functions while ensuring safe, reliable service delivery for the municipality.
Key responsibilities
- Controls subordinate staff and supervises daily operations of the division.
- Manages technical and administrative activities, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Liaises with the public, other municipal departments and external organisations.
- Promotes safety and accident prevention, including training and adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Undertakes related assignments as required.
Required profile
- Trade‑tested Artisan (Plumber or Bricklayer) or equivalent construction background.
- Valid motor vehicle driving licence.
- Minimum 5 years post‑apprenticeship experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
