Structural Draftsman / Technician

About the role

Our client, a leading consulting engineering firm, is looking for an experienced Structural Draftsman / Technician to join their Durbanville office. The role involves producing accurate structural drawings and models while supporting project delivery from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2D and 3D structural drawings and models using Revit, AutoCAD and PADS/AutoPADS.
• Assist with conceptual layouts and preliminary design development.
• Manage drawing revisions, updates, and maintain drawing registers and project records.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects and other team members to ensure timely project execution.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions, support inspections and produce technical reports.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with industry standards, regulations and project specifications.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in structural drafting within a consulting engineering environment.
• Proficiency in both 2D and 3D drafting software, especially Revit, AutoCAD and PADS/AutoPADS.
• Good understanding of structural codes, standards and regulations.
• Site experience is advantageous.
