Strategic Projects Manager

About the role

Swan iT is seeking a Strategic Projects Manager for a client in the solar solutions industry. The role will drive cross‑functional project delivery, identify growth opportunities and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Strategy and Emerging Business department in crafting corporate and cross‑departmental strategies that accelerate growth, disrupt the solar energy market, and deliver long‑term value.
• Monitor and track progress of the overarching strategy, establishing and implementing KPIs to ensure alignment with strategic direction.
• Establish and implement end‑to‑end business processes, criteria and KPIs to drive innovative and agile operating models, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
• Conduct thorough planning and analysis to identify growth and strategic optimisation opportunities, making informed recommendations to key stakeholders, leveraging insights into local, regional and international solar energy markets.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritise strategic projects that align with the company’s mission to expand energy solutions.
• Analyse emerging markets to identify opportunities for solar energy adoption and infrastructure development.
• Act as a point of contact for internal and external partners to drive success with strategic projects.
• Lead planning, execution and delivery of key projects across various markets, focusing on both developed and high‑growth markets.
• Oversee end‑to‑end strategic project lifecycles, defining scopes, deliverables, timelines, resource allocation and budgets.

Required profile

• A postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or an MBA or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in project management, strategic planning, strategy formulation and driving business performance, including at least 2 years in a management role; experience in consulting or startup environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in leading strategy frameworks or methods, with hands‑on experience developing or implementing projects using these frameworks.
