Stores Supervisor – Cato Ridge

About the role

We are seeking an organised, hands‑on Stores Supervisor to manage daily operations at our client’s main project stores facility in Cato Ridge. You will oversee stock flow, maintain accurate inventory records, and lead a small team of store personnel in a dynamic technical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and reconcile incoming deliveries against purchase orders and project specifications.
• Issue components and project stock to workshop staff using the Syspro ERP system.
• Conduct regular stock counts, track surplus, and collaborate with buyers to minimise waste.
• Catalogue, clean, lubricate, calibrate and maintain tools and equipment according to safety standards.
• Supervise, train and direct store staff, enforce security measures and promote adherence to procedures.
• Coordinate local collections, off‑loading and site dispatches, performing driving duties as required.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate (or equivalent industry qualification).
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in a stores, inventory or warehouse supervisory role.
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• Strong leadership, high attention to detail and a reliable work ethic.
• Physically fit to perform warehouse and loading activities.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience using Syspro ERP (or similar inventory management software).
