Store Supervisor (Retail)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Store Supervisor to lead our team in a fast‑paced retail environment. You will ensure smooth daily operations, uphold high standards of customer service, and drive sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with store policies, health & safety standards, and maintain cleanliness and merchandising standards.
• Supervise, motivate, and schedule shop assistants; monitor performance and punctuality.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new staff.
• Provide excellent customer service, handle enquiries and basic complaints, and support sales targets.
• Manage stock receiving, replenishment, stock counts, and report discrepancies.
• Support cash handling and ensure accurate transactions.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Previous experience in retail, warehousing, stock administration or stationery retail is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication, problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
