Store Manager – Volpes – Gateway – Durban

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead our Volpes store at Gateway in Durban. The role focuses on driving turnover, controlling expenses, and delivering excellent customer service through effective team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Drive turnover to achieve sales targets.
• Control expenses and manage budgets.
• Manage stock losses to keep shrinkage within company standards.
• Lead people management activities including recruitment, development, employee relations and performance management.
• Execute in‑store merchandising strategy and maintain visual standards.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by implementing the customer service strategy and meeting customer demands.

Required profile

• A Matric certificate.
• Minimum 3 years retail experience with at least 1 year in store leadership.
• Action‑oriented, taking on new challenges with urgency.
• Strong network‑building skills, establishing internal and external relationships.
• Customer‑focused mindset, anticipating and meeting customer needs.
• Ability to direct work, planning and organising team activities effectively.
• Drive engagement by inspiring and motivating the team.
