Store Manager – Retail (45 hrs) – Cape Gate

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead our American Swiss Jewellery outlet at Cape Gate. The role is 45 hours per week and focuses on driving sales, controlling costs and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Drive turnover to achieve sales targets.
• Control expenses and manage stock losses to keep shrinkage within company standards.
• Lead people management activities including recruitment, staff development, performance management and employee relations.
• Execute in‑store merchandising strategy and maintain visual standards.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by implementing the customer service strategy and meeting customer demands.

Required profile

• Matric certificate with at least 3 years retail experience, including 1 year in a store leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, control expenses and reduce shrinkage.
• Strong leadership behaviours such as action orientation, network building, customer focus, directing work, driving engagement, ensuring accountability and optimizing processes.
• Commitment to employment equity, with preference given to designated groups as per the Employment Equity Act.
