Stoping Team Leader

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Stoping Team Leader to oversee a crew responsible for extracting ore from underground stopes at our Durban operation. The role combines hands‑on supervision with a strong focus on safety and production efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise a crew to safely and efficiently extract ore from underground stopes.
- Plan and execute drill‑and‑blast operations in line with operational targets.
- Ensure full compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and internal safety procedures.
- Monitor daily production targets and adjust activities to meet output goals.
- Maintain accurate records of blasting, extraction volumes and safety incidents.
Required profile
- Proven experience in underground mining operations, preferably in stoping.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a crew in a high‑risk environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act and related safety standards.
- Ability to work under production pressure while maintaining safety standards.
