Stock Controller

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and detail‑oriented Stock Controller to join our hospitality team in Hout Bay. You will be responsible for overseeing all stock control procedures, from receiving deliveries to maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring smooth operations in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify incoming stock against invoices and purchase orders.
• Accurately record stock movements in the system and conduct daily, weekly and monthly stock counts.
• Monitor variances, damages, shortages and wastage, and report discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain proper stock rotation, issue stock to relevant departments and keep receiving/storage areas clean and organised.
• Assist with wastage control and collaborate closely with management and operational teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in stock control and receiving within the hospitality or restaurant sector.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Honest, reliable and trustworthy with a professional work ethic.

Required skills

• Experience with MarketMan inventory software.
