Stock Controller – Automotive Industry

About the role

The Stock Controller will manage and maintain accurate inventory levels for an automotive business, ensuring that all stock movements are recorded, stored safely, and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels in the inventory system.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock deliveries.
• Store stock correctly and safely in designated areas.
• Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Process stock transfers between departments or locations.
• Prepare stock reports and assist with forecasting inventory needs.
• Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure adequate stock availability.
• Maintain documentation for stock movement, including goods received and dispatch notes.
• Support stock audits and year‑end inventory counts.
• Monitor slow‑moving or obsolete stock and report to management.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, or warehouse operations within the automotive sector.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What we offer

• Gross salary ranging from R15,000 to R20,000 per month.
