About the role
The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is recruiting two Staff Nurses (Grades 1‑3) to work at Caledon Clinic and Grabouw Community Health Centre in the Overberg District.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement basic patient care.
- Provide basic clinical nursing care.
- Effectively utilise physical and financial resources.
- Maintain professional growth, ethical standards and self‑development.
Required profile
- Qualification allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Staff Nurse.
- Registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
- Experience: Grade 1 – none; Grade 2 – minimum 10 years; Grade 3 – minimum 20 years after registration.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
Required skills
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office).
