About the role
The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is seeking qualified Staff Nurses (Grades 1‑3) for Citrusdal Hospital in the West Coast District. The role involves delivering basic patient care, providing clinical nursing services, and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement basic patient care for all patients.
- Provide basic clinical nursing care.
- Utilise physical and financial resources effectively.
- Maintain professional growth, ethical standards, and self‑development.
- Function effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Required profile
- Qualification allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Staff Nurse.
- Experience requirements vary by grade: Grade 1 – none; Grade 2 – minimum 10 years; Grade 3 – minimum 20 years of nursing experience after registration.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, public holidays, and to rotate between wards.

What we offer
