Sports Intern – Racquets (Woodmead)

About the role

The Sports Intern will manage reservations, check‑ins and billing for racquet courts, support the Proshop with sales and stock control, and ensure the pavilion is clean and functional. The role also involves assisting with food and beverage service and providing a friendly experience for members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all tennis and padel court reservations, cancellations and amendments.
• Check‑in players, process payments and produce cash‑up reports.
• Sell equipment and merchandise, manage stock and maintain the Proshop area.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness for courts, glass, surrounds and storerooms.
• Report maintenance issues and perform routine facility checks.
• Assist with food and beverage orders and support social events and tournaments.
• Conduct weekly stock counts and update notice boards and posters.
• Communicate daily updates via email, WhatsApp and internal channels.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent social and interpersonal abilities.
• Physically fit, able to assemble equipment and work early mornings or late nights.
• Willingness to work with children and engage in sports activities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and stock control.
